North of Brooklyn

With multiple locations around Toronto, North of Brooklyn serves up whole pies with premium toppings like truffles, kale and bacon, and more. The Killer Bee pizza is a menu standout, arriving with Calabrese sausage, pickled red onions and drizzled with hot honey. On your next visit to this vibrant neighbourhood just steps from UP Express Bloor Station, check out Pizzeria Defina for wood fired Napoletana style pizza. To really get a taste of the neighbourhood, try the Roncy with fior de latte, Yukon gold potatoes, double smoked bacon, caramelized shallots and dill. You’ll also find a second location north of UP Express Bloor Station on Dupont Street.

General Assembly

If you love the pizzas at General Assembly’s restaurant on Adelaide Street West near UP Express Union Station, you can grab a stack of frozen pies to go! Featuring a variety of red or white-sauce, meatless and plant-based pies, try a unique flavour combination like the Lamborghini with lamb sausage, za’atar, yogurt, mint and parsley or opt for one of the vegan options like the Marg Simpson with vegan mozzarella and parmesan. Descendant Pizza

Bring your appetite for a taste of Descendant Pizza’s Detroit-style offerings in Toronto’s Leslieville neighbourhood. A pan pizza with a thick and chewy crust, Descendant brings the flavour to this pizza party with their popular Jaffna pie featuring kothu roti, mango chutney, roasted garlic, and double smoked bacon topped with ooey-gooey cheese or the electric avenue topped with jerk chicken and fresh pineapple.

It’s hard to pick a favourite pizza in Toronto, but Maker Pizza’s Frank’s Best pie with caramelized onions, goat cheese, grass-fed mozzarella, rosemary, sea salt, organic honey on a sesame crust might just be it.
