PRESTO in Apple Wallet

Introducing PRESTO in Apple Wallet! Starting July 16, you can add a digital PRESTO card to Apple Wallet and tap to ride using your iPhone or Apple Watch and enjoy the convenience of more options to pay your fare, making it easier for you to travel on UP Express! PRESTO in Apple Wallet is also available on GO Transit, Brampton Transit, Burlington Transit, Durham Region Transit, Hamilton Street Railway, MiWay (in Mississauga), Oakville Transit, TTC and York Region Transit. PRESTO in Google Wallet

You can tap your digital PRESTO card in Google Wallet that can be used on Android smartphone or Wear OS smartwatch. PRESTO in Google Wallet will provide you with more options to pay for your fare, making it easier for you to travel on UP Express. PRESTO in Google Wallet is also available on GO Transit, Brampton Transit, Burlington Transit, Durham Region Transit, Hamilton Street Railway, MiWay (in Mississauga), Oakville Transit and York Region Transit.

Physical PRESTO Card

You can buy a PRESTO card to tap and pay your fare at a Customer Service Outlet, Shoppers Drug Mart, Fare Vending Machines or Ticket Vending Machines. You can also order a PRESTO card on the PRESTO website. If you purchase a PRESTO card in person, you’ll need to wait up to 24 hours before adding it to your PRESTO Account. The PRESTO card fee is $4.

If you're travelling from Pearson Airport to Union Station or vice versa, use PRESTO to get reduced fare rates!

You can buy a PRESTO card and load it with funds before you travel, or you can tap PRESTO in Apple Wallet, PRESTO card in Google Wallet, with your credit card or debit card, including cards in your phone or watch by tapping on a PRESTO device.

With a PRESTO card, Youth and Post-Secondary students save 40% off a standard UP Express fare. Visit an UP Station or Shoppers Drug Mart to get a Youth or Post-Secondary Student fare type set on your PRESTO card. You're ready to travel cashless between Union Station and Pearson Airport, connecting between GO Transit, TTC and other transit agencies across the Greater Golden Horseshoe and Ottawa.

Forget calculating fares or searching for change. PRESTO does it all automatically - you just tap and go! Be sure to also tap off after exiting at your stop.

Before you travel, check out the UP Express PRESTO Fares table for pricing. If using a PRESTO card, please remember to load money before you travel, using the PRESTO App or website.

Now, you've got even more options when paying for transit with PRESTO in Apple Wallet, PRESTO in Google Wallet, PRESTO contactless payment on UP Express. Simply tap your PRESTO in Apple Wallet, PRESTO in Google Wallet, credit or debit card, including cards in your phone or watch, on an UP Express PRESTO device to pay your fare. At this current time, only one-way Adult PRESTO fares are available when tapping with debit or credit.

Whether you tap on with a physical PRESTO card, digital PRESTO in Apple Wallet, digital PRESTO in Google Wallet, debit/credit card, or mobile wallet on phone or watch, please remember to tap off with the same card or wallet. If you use a different one, you will get charged for a second trip.

Reminder: If you decide to convert your physical PRESTO card to PRESTO in Apple Wallet, PRESTO in Google Wallet, make sure to do so before or after a trip, not during.

PRESTO Fares by Distance

If you are travelling between Pearson Airport (YYZ) and Toronto’s Union Station, UP Express trains stop at Weston Station and Bloor Station. UP Express PRESTO fares are calculated by distance, so you only pay for the distance travelled on your way to and from the airport, with shorter journeys costing less. Just tap on and off with PRESTO!

Terms and Conditions 

The Simplii Financial Cash Back Visa* Card $100 PRESTO Voucher Offer (the “Offer”) begins on June 2, 2025. The Offer consists of a $100 digital PRESTO Voucher (the “Voucher”) to qualifying primary account holder for applying and being approved for a new Simplii Financial™ Cash Back Visa* Card (the “New Credit Card”) and complying with the following requirements: 

1. Eligibility 

This Offer is open only to Canadian residents (excluding Quebec) who have reached the age of majority in their province of residence and apply for a New Credit Card online at simplii.com/presto or who receive a targeted promotional digital offer communication from Simplii Financial. This offer is reserved for new credit card applicants only. Simplii Financial may approve your application, but you are not eligible to receive this Offer if you have opened or cancelled a Simplii Financial™ Cash Back Visa* Card within the last 12 months. This Offer can be combined with all other offers unless otherwise indicated. Individuals who meet the foregoing eligibility requirements and otherwise comply with these Terms are referred to as “Eligible Client(s)”. 

2. Offer requirements 

To qualify for the Voucher, an Eligible Client must: 

i. apply and be approved for a New Credit Card as the primary cardholder beginning June 2, 2025; and 

ii. spend $500 or more on the New Credit Card account each month for three (3) consecutive months from the New Credit Card account open date (the “Qualifying Period”). A minimum of one Qualifying PRESTO Transaction must be made during the Qualifying Period. 

“Qualifying PRESTO Transactions” include purchases made using your New Credit Card to pay for transit by tapping your New Credit Card on a PRESTO fare payment device or loading your PRESTO card online (PRESTO website, PRESTO app, PRESTO in Google Wallet, PRESTO in Apple Wallet) or at a self-serve PRESTO vending machine with your New Credit Card. 

3. Delivery of Voucher 

If an Eligible Client qualifies to receive the Voucher, the Voucher will be available on the Exclusive Offers page within Simplii Online and Mobile Banking and delivered to the email address you provided at the time of the New Credit Card application or the email address we have on file within 45 days after the end of the Qualifying Period. The Eligible Client’s New Credit Card account must be open and in good standing at the time the Voucher is awarded. 

4. Additional limitations and conditions 

The Voucher must be accepted as awarded, cannot be exchanged for cash from Metrolinx or Simplii Financial and is not transferable or assignable. Limit of one (1) Voucher per Eligible Client no matter how many New Credit Card accounts are opened. The recipient of the Voucher is solely responsible for any tax consequences associated with their receipt thereof. The Offer is not transferable and is subject to the terms and conditions of the Simplii Financial Credit Card Agreement. Simplii Financial reserves the right to cancel or change the terms of the Offer at any time without notice, for any reason, and to revoke the Offer from any customer who appears to be manipulating or abusing the Offer, or is engaged in any suspicious/fraudulent activity.
